摘要: 传统乳液聚合方法合成的聚丙烯酸丁酯(PBA)胶乳粒径在100~200 nm范围内。对于特殊用途的聚丙烯酸丁酯胶乳,其胶乳粒径要求大于300 nm。对于大粒径聚丙烯酸丁酯胶乳,通过加入含有双官能团的单体作为扩链剂,增长分子链,增大胶乳的粒径。考察了扩链剂的种类、用量、温度等对PBA胶乳粒径、稳定性的影响。结果表明:随着扩链剂分子量的增大,胶乳粒子粒径不断增大,当扩链剂用量为20%~30%(质量分数)时胶乳最稳定。

Preparation of Large Particle Size Poly(butyl acrylate)

Abstract: The particle size of poly butyl acrylate (PBA) latex synthesized by traditional emulsion polymerization is in the range of 100—200 nm. For special purpose poly butyl acrylate latex, the latex particle size should be greater than 300 nm. For large particle size poly butyl acrylate latex, monomers containing bifunctional groups were added as chain extenders to increase the molecular chain and increase the particle size of the latex. The effects of the type, dosage and temperature of chain extender on the particle size and stability of PBA latex were investigated. The results showed that the latex particle size increased with the increase of chain extender molecular weight, and the latex was the most stable when the amount of chain extender was 20%—30%.
