摘要: 以柠檬酸铜(CuC)为协效剂,聚磷酸铵(APP)为阻燃剂,制备了阻燃热塑性聚氨酯复合材料(TPU/APP/CuC),并通过极限氧指数(LOI)、锥形量热仪(CCT)和烟密度仪(SDT)等手段研究了TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的阻燃性能,通过热重-红外联用(TG-IR)研究了TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的热降解性能。实验结果表明:CuC能够显著提升TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的阻燃和抑烟性能;可以提高TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的光通量(LF),降低比光密度(Ds)。TG-IR结果表明,CuC能够降低CO2以及芳香化合物(烟气主要来源)的生成,提高TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的高温热稳定性。CuC通过促进APP分解、提高炭层致密性和炭渣石墨化程度,从而提高TPU/APP/CuC复合材料的阻燃抑烟性能。

Synergistic Flame Retardant TPU with Copper Citrate and Ammonium Polyphosphate

Abstract: In this paper, flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane composites (TPU/APP/CuC) were prepared with copper citrate (CuC) as synergistic agent and ammonium polyphosphate (APP) as flame retardant. The flame retardant properties of TPU/APP/CuC composites were studied by limiting oxygen index (LOI), cone calorimeter (CCT) and smoke density meter (SDT). The thermal degradation properties of TPU/APP/CuC composites were studied. The experimental results showed that CuC can significantly improve the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of TPU/APP/CuC composites; it can improve the luminous flux (LF) and reduce the specific optical density (DS) of TPU/APP/CuC composites. The TG-IR results showed that CuC can reduce the formation of CO2 and aromatic compounds (the main source of flue gas) and improve the thermal stability of TPU/APP/CuC composites at high temperature. CuC improves the flame retardant and smoke suppression properties of TPU/APP/CuC composites by promoting the decomposition of APP, improving the compactness and the graphitization degree of char residue layer.
