干法改性无卤阻燃剂(FR21RP)对三元乙丙橡胶性能的影响

房孝栋, 迟婷婷, 吴明生*(青岛科技大学 高分子科学与工程学院,山东 青岛 266042)摘要: 在对无卤阻燃剂(FR21RP)的实际应用过程中,虽然其具有较好的阻燃效果,但在较高的填充份数下,其胶料的各项力学性能较差,所以对无卤阻燃剂(FR21RP)进行干法改性以提高其胶料的各项力学性能。采用Si-69γ-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷(KH550)γ-甲基丙烯酰氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷(KH570)和硼酸酯4种表面改性剂对无卤阻燃剂(FR21RP)进行干法表面改性,对胶料的力学性能和燃烧行为进行了测试表征。结果表明:当改性剂选用KH550,其用量为阻燃剂质量的20%,阻燃剂用量为110份时,使得胶料的拉伸强度和撕裂强度分别提高了15%13%,而氧指数为36%,相比未改性胶料仅下降3%,胶料的热释放速率峰值(pHRR)为20525 kW·m-2相比未改性胶料仅上升了51%。综合比较,KH550能明显改善胶料的各项力学性能,且对胶料的阻燃性能影响较小,为最佳的表面改性剂;其次通过硼酸酯表面改性的阻燃剂,虽然对EPDM力学性能提升不大,但其对胶料的阻燃性能影响较小。

Effect of Dry Modified Halogen-free Flame Retardant

(FR21RP) on EPDM Performance

Abstract: In the practical application of the halogen-free flame retardant (FR21RP), although it has a good flame retardant effect, the mechanical properties of the glue are poor at a higher number of filling parts. Therefore, the dry modification of the halogen-free flame retardant (FR21RP) is carried out in order to improve the mechanical properties of the glue. In this paper, four surface modifiers, Si-69, γ-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane (KH550), γ-methylacrylopropyl trimethoxysilane (KH570) and borate ester, were used for dry surface modification of halogen-free flame retardant (FR21RP). The mechanical properties and combustion behavior of the adhesive were measured and characterized. The results show that the tensile strength and tear strength of the adhesive are increased by 15% and 13% respectively when the dosage of KH550 is 20% of the mass of flame retardant and 110 parts of flame retardant, while the oxygen index is 36%, which is only reduced by 3% compared with that of the unmodified adhesive. The peak heat release rate (pHRR) of the rubber was 20525 kW·m-2, only 51% higher than that of the unmodified rubber. KH550 can obviously improve the mechanical properties of the adhesive, and has little influence on the flame retardant properties of the adhesive, so it is the best surface modifier. Secondly, though the mechanical properties of EPDM were not improved significantly by borate ester surface modified flame retardant, it had little effect on the flame retardant properties of the adhesive.
