一维反转对称光子结构的表面阻抗特性及其应用

摘要: 基于传输矩阵法计算了层状光子结构的反射光谱轮廓曲线和表面阻抗,具体分析了反转对称光子结构的表面阻抗在不同带隙内的变化规律。结果表明:反转对称光子结构在带隙内的表面阻抗符号与相邻通带中反射光谱轮廓曲线的零点数目有关;若某通带对应的反射光谱轮廓曲线含有奇数个零点,则表面阻抗虚部在该通带后相邻带隙内的符号与前一个带隙相同;若某通带对应的反射光谱轮廓曲线含有偶数个零点,则在该通带后的带隙内表面阻抗虚部的符号将发生变化;同时反转对称中心不同的两个光子结构的表面阻抗虚部符号在奇数带隙内相反、偶数带隙内相同,其组合结构在奇数带隙内均存在一个界面态,且在该界面态频率处,两个结构的阻抗虚部之和等于零。研究结果可以为层状光子结构产生光学界面态等应用提供理论参考。

Abstract: Based on the transfer matrix method, the reflection spectrum envelopes and the surface impedances of the layered photonic structures are calculated, and the variation law of the surface impedances in different bandgaps of the photonic structures with inversion symmetry is analyzed. The results show that the sign of surface impedance of the inverse-symmetric photonic structure in the bandgaps is related to the number of the envelope zeros of the reflectance spectrum in the adjacent band, that is if the reflectance spectrum envelope in one certain passband contains odd number of zeros, the sign of the imaginary part of the surface impedance in the adjacent bandgap after the passband is same as that of the previous bandgap; otherwise, the sign of the imaginary part of the surface impedance in the adjacent bandgap after the passband will change. Furthermore, the imaginary part sign of the surface impedance of two photonic structures with different symmetric center is opposite in the odd bandgaps and same in the even bandgaps. There exists an interface state in the odd bandgaps of the combined structure, and at the frequency of the interface state, the sum of the imaginary parts of the surface impedance between two photonic structures with different inversion symmetry centers is equal to zero. The results can provide theoretical reference for the applications of layered photonic structures in optical interface states and so on.
