摘要: 定量计算BOTDR内入射脉冲的色散问题,分别独立仿真正负色散影响下脉冲展宽现象。提出BOTDR的色散补偿方案,即在光纤内的光脉冲在光纤内传输一段距离后出现的正色散被一段合适长度的负色散所抵消后,脉冲能够得到有效的恢复,从而使BOTDR内光纤的脉冲能够传输更远的距离,并继续发生布里渊散射效应。方案是在充分考虑了现有的BOTDR装置的基础上提出的,不需要对测量仪器内部的电子器件和光学器件作修改,因而具有一定的实用价值。

Dispersion Compensation Scheme of Improving BOTDR Detection Range

Abstract: In this paper, we calculate quantitively the dispersion of the incident pulse inthe BOTDR and simulate independently the phenomenon of pulse broadening influenced by plusminus dispersion. Then we propose scheme of dispersion compensation on BOTDR,which is optical pulse in the optical fiber is offseted by the negative dispersion of a proper length after a long distance transmission and can be effectively recovered,sooptical pulse can transmit long distance, and continue to happen the Brillouin scatteringeffect.It is only after careful consideration that we propose our scheme based on the existing BOTDR device.Besides, it need not to modify electronic and optical devices in themeasuring instrument and has a strong practical value.
