蒸发诱导富勒烯C60块状晶体向晶须的形貌转变

摘要: 通过利用液-液界面沉淀法(liquid-liquid interface precipitation,LLIP)以邻二甲苯和正丁醇分别作为良溶剂和不良溶剂制备了三维(3D)富勒烯C60块状晶体。当从上述母液中取出3D富勒烯C60块状晶体静置于载玻片上室温蒸发干燥时,其晶体形貌发生剧烈变化,由原始的3D富勒烯C60块状晶体转变为紧密有序排列的一维(1D)晶须,但是,3D富勒烯C60块状晶体的轮廓基本保持不变。通过将3D富勒烯C60块状晶体再次放入不同体积比的邻二甲苯和正丁醇混合溶液,观察其在蒸发干燥时的形貌转变规律,提出了蒸发诱导3D富勒烯C60块状晶体向1D晶须的转变机理。同时,利用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜、红外光谱仪和X-射线衍射仪对其形貌及组成、晶型进行了表征。

Evaporation Induces the Morphological Transformation of

Fullerene C60 Bulk Crystals to Whiskers

Abstract: Three-dimensional (3D) fullerene C60 bulk crystals were prepared by using liquid-liquid interface precipitation (LLIP) with o-xylene and n-butanol as good and poor solvents respectively. When the 3D fullerene C60 bulk crystals are taken out from the above mother liquor and placed on a glass slide to evaporate and dry at room temperature, the crystal morphology changes drastically, the original 3D fullerene bulk crystal changes into densely arranged assembly of many small one-dimensional (1D) whiskers, but still maintains the outline of the 3D fullerene bulk crystal. By placing the 3D fullerene C60 bulk crystals in a mixed solution of o-xylene and n-butanol of different volume ratios again, the detailed morphological transformation was observed during evaporation and drying, and the possible mechanism of the evaporation-induced transformation from 3D fullerene C60 bulk crystals to 1D whiskers was proposed. At the same time, its morphology, composition and crystal form were characterized by optical microscope, scanning electron microscope, infrared spectrometer and X-ray diffractometer.
